No force, no pain.  Just an enjoyable walk with your dog!

The Freedom No-Pull Harness features a patented control loop on the back of the harness which tightens gently around your dog’s chest to discourage pulling behavior and makes walking your dog an easy, more enjoyable experience for both of you.  It also features a structural connection ring on the front of the harness.  Connecting to this ring is optional, but recommended, as it allows you to attach to the front and back of the harness simultaneously.  Used this way, you are able to control pulling and redirect your dog’s attention back to you for training and treats.

The Freedom No-Pull Harness features a Swiss velvet-lined chest strap to help prevent rubbing and chafing behind the front legs.  The stainless steel hardware used on the harness will never rust or corrode, and the nylon webbing has been tested to pull up to 3800 lbs.  It will not break or fray, no matter how hard your dog pulls.

The Freedom No-Pull Harness is designed to fit any dog from 14 lbs all the way up to 250+ lbs.

It comes in two widths:

5/8” for smaller dogs under 40 lbs – Dachshunds, Italian Greyhounds, Whippets, Jack Russel Terriers, Beagles, Miniature Schnauzers, etc.

1” for larger dogs over 40 lbs – Boxers, Labrador Retrievers, Golden Retrievers, Greyhounds, German Shepherds, Basset Hounds, Pit Bulls, Great Danes, etc.

To measure your dog for the harness, use a soft measuring tape (or a piece of string) and measure all the way around the largest part of your dog’s chest.  Choose the SMALLEST size that fits within that measurement.

Multiple Leash Attachment Options!

Training Leash

The training leash is designed to be used in conjunction with the Freedom No-Pull Harness. It provides additional control points, which evenly distributes pressure.  It has a permanently attached “floating” handle, allowing the leash to be used in multiple configurations:

  • Connect to the front and the back of the harness simultaneously.
  • Connect to just the front or the back of the harness.
  • Connect to the harness and a collar at the same time.

When connected to two points the training leash is 3′ long including the floating handle, and 4′ long when attached to a single point.  As the name suggests, this shorter leash is especially useful for training.

Euro Leash

The Euro leash is just like the training leash but is 6′ long when connected to both attachments, and 8′ long when connected to a single point.  The handle is removable and can be used separately. The Euro leash can be used in the following configurations:

  • 8″ Traffic handle all by itself.
  • Fold leash in half. Clip one end of leash to your dog’s collar or harness and the other end to the stationary ring. Clip the Traffic Handle to the floating ring. This makes a 4′ lead.
  • To create a 2 foot leash, continue from step two, slide the floating O-ring towards you and reconnect it to the bolt snap that is connected to your dog’s collar.
  • Place lead around shoulder/back and clip (1) end to floating ring and other end to dog. This makes a hands-free lead.
  • Place lead around waist and clip (1) end to floating ring and other end to dog. This makes a hands-free lead.
  • To keep your dog close and safe while sitting stationary with him/her, simply attach leash to your dog and wrap the handle end of leash around a pole, fence post, railing or small tree and attach both snaps in the handle to the floating o-ring. (use this method only while remaining with your dog)

Nylon Leash

The nylon leash is a standard 4′ or 6′ leash with one connection and an adjustable handle.

I bought this same harness for my first dog about 6 months ago. We had tried multiple different types of harnesses and this one does the trick! He doesn’t even pull anymore so I only need to clip the leash on the back clip now.

I just got my second dog about a month ago and she is a serious puller, I don’t think she has had any leash training before. I’ve been using this harness on walks the last three days and it has made a huge improvement on my dog and my arm! Haha!

Although I, the human, and not totally proficient in the use of this type of lead, I can already see improvements in my 5 month old bloodhound who previously was like trying to walk a small pony. The quality of this set is amazing. The color is gorgeous. I actually want to take walks more so I can get better and we can enjoy loose-leash walks.

I like the design of the T strap under the belly so that it doesn’t have to chafe the skin on dog’s chest because my dog has a deep chest and has no hair there. My dog is in the stage where he doesn’t pull as much as he did in the past 3 years but a regular collar is still very hard, so this harness is right on. I only use the front metal ring to attach the leash, don’t need the one on the back. Great quality as always, I’ve been a fan of 2Hounds’ silk collars, bought so many!

This is probably the 9th or 10th Freedom No-Pull Dog Harness I have purchased over the past few years. I was introduced to them by a behaviorist veterinarian. The harnesses fit so securely and help my dogs manage their walking. This is the ONLY harness for our household of three dogs. These harnesses keep my dogs safe and in turn give me peace of mind.

This was recommended to us by our dog trainer, Jessica Ring at My Fantastic Friend. So far, so good! Less pulling and it’s making it easier for everyone to focus on the goal of loose-leash walking. Product looks great, super sturdy and my setter puppy doesn’t hate it like previous harness gear.

My dog is a reactive rescue, and we have always been reluctant to walk her. In addition, she was alway reticent to get in a harness. Her new freedom no-pull takes care of both problems. It is comfortable so she doesn’t mind wearing it, and it is very secure if she wants to eat someone on a bicycle. We have gone on”walkies“ everyday since receiving our new harness and leash.

My Aussie, at 45#, has outgrown her training Freedom Harness and I would not consider replacing it with anything but the next size up . This harness system provides a marvelous method for managing a high energy dog such as our Aussie. As she grows heavier, it still works! She sits beautifully to have the harness snapped on, knowing that there is a grief-free walk to be had. Being among “the elderly”, I have complete control of this dog, when snapped on at both ends… as I pull the leash, she is automatically turned back toward me. Once she responds to me, I treat, then allow her a little lead to go back to study whatever she is fascinated with, but it is then on my terms. It makes for a satisfying and safe walk.
Once, I left my pup in the car crate with the harness on, which she managed to chew through. But 2 Hounds has a wonderful replacement policy! And they are so colorful! Great products.

We have a 32lbs, 10 month old mini Aussie who is an absolute brainiac- his intelligence really does mimic a toddler! That being said, we have taught him just about every trick in the book with relative ease EXCEPT for loose leash walking. He knows what he’s supposed to do, sometimes he’s perfect, sometimes he makes you think you have a 65lbs sled dog on the other end of your arm. His worst distraction is his love for other people. He will do just about anything to get pats from strangers on the street. After countless training methods, two different harnesses, we decided to finally order this one.
Within three days he is a different dog on leash. He doesn’t pull, he no longer tries to race towards people, he checks in time and time again and is actually happy to put this harness on! It’s a game changer. Don’t wait. Just get it.
