*Red Freedom No-Pull Dog Harness

Regular Price From $29.58

No force, no pain.  Just an enjoyable walk with your dog!

Clear

The Freedom No-Pull Harness features a patented control loop on the back of the harness which tightens gently around your dog’s chest to discourage pulling behavior and makes walking your dog an easy, more enjoyable experience for both of you.  It also features a structural connection ring on the front of the harness.  Connecting to this ring is optional, but recommended, as it allows you to attach to the front and back of the harness simultaneously.  Used this way, you are able to control pulling and redirect your dog’s attention back to you for training and treats.

The Freedom No-Pull Harness features a Swiss velvet-lined chest strap to help prevent rubbing and chafing behind the front legs.  The stainless steel hardware used on the harness will never rust or corrode, and the nylon webbing has been tested to pull up to 3800 lbs.  It will not break or fray, no matter how hard your dog pulls.

The Freedom No-Pull Harness is designed to fit any dog from 14 lbs all the way up to 250+ lbs.

Sizing

It comes in two widths:

5/8” for smaller dogs under 40 lbs – Dachshunds, Italian Greyhounds, Whippets, Jack Russel Terriers, Beagles, Miniature Schnauzers, etc.

1” for larger dogs over 40 lbs – Boxers, Labrador Retrievers, Golden Retrievers, Greyhounds, German Shepherds, Basset Hounds, Pit Bulls, Great Danes, etc.

To measure your dog for the harness, use a soft measuring tape (or a piece of string) and measure all the way around the largest part of your dog’s chest.  Choose the SMALLEST size that fits within that measurement.

Multiple Leash Attachment Options!

Training Leash

The training leash is designed to be used in conjunction with the Freedom No-Pull Harness. It provides additional control points, which evenly distributes pressure.  It has a permanently attached “floating” handle, allowing the leash to be used in multiple configurations:

  • Connect to the front and the back of the harness simultaneously.
  • Connect to just the front or the back of the harness.
  • Connect to the harness and a collar at the same time.

When connected to two points the training leash is 3′ long including the floating handle, and 4′ long when attached to a single point.  As the name suggests, this shorter leash is especially useful for training.

Euro Leash

The Euro leash is just like the training leash but is 6′ long when connected to both attachments, and 8′ long when connected to a single point.  The handle is removable and can be used separately. The Euro leash can be used in the following configurations:

  • 8″ Traffic handle all by itself.
  • Fold leash in half. Clip one end of leash to your dog’s collar or harness and the other end to the stationary ring. Clip the Traffic Handle to the floating ring. This makes a 4′ lead.
  • To create a 2 foot leash, continue from step two, slide the floating O-ring towards you and reconnect it to the bolt snap that is connected to your dog’s collar.
  • Place lead around shoulder/back and clip (1) end to floating ring and other end to dog. This makes a hands-free lead.
  • Place lead around waist and clip (1) end to floating ring and other end to dog. This makes a hands-free lead.
  • To keep your dog close and safe while sitting stationary with him/her, simply attach leash to your dog and wrap the handle end of leash around a pole, fence post, railing or small tree and attach both snaps in the handle to the floating o-ring. (use this method only while remaining with your dog)

Nylon Leash

The nylon leash is a standard 4′ or 6′ leash with one connection and an adjustable handle.

Proudly made in the USA!

I wanted to thank you for the handwritten note on the red Freedom Harness I ordered for my pup. I loved the fact that you set the harness up for me before shipping (based on the girth info I provided). No learning curve on this one, it was all set to simply slide on. I loved the construction of the product and velvet sections that touch my pups fur. Truly a quality product built by a company that cares. Thanks so much.

I am very pleased with my harness for my 10 month old mini goldendoodle. So much so, I ordered one for our 4 year old Westie. The fit is great and adjustable. Both my dogs have different body types and the harness fits great on both if them. As they are smaller dogs, the harness straps are 5/8 inch, which makes them very comfortable. I am looking forward to having pull free walks with my buddies.

I have used a similar product for years until I was introduced to the 2 Hounds No-pull harness. The straps on this harness are wider and softer. The chest band is a very soft velvet type material. It is still very strong. Options for using the chest or shoulder attachments (or both). Very easy to put on and take off (unlike the other product.) Attaching the leash at the chest eliminates the pulling reflex that occurs with the shoulder attachments.

    These are magic

I have 4 Great Danes, all of which individually weigh more than I do. They are well behaved, but strong and exuberant, and so, tend to pull when on a leash if they see something exciting. I have one of these for each one of them, and the first time I put it on each, they immediately revert to “walking nicely” right beside me. Amazing.

We actually bought 2 of these for each one of our canine companions and they are serving their 2 main purposes : they prevent chafing of the neck that our BellaBleue was enduring with her collar and all her swimming, and they are helping teach BernalBrun not too pull while on the leash ! They seem comfortable enough for the duration of our 3+ mile hikes, and they do not hamper their swimming and they dry quickly ! A great addition to their “wardrobe” !

This came quickly and is just as advertised. It is well made, fits the dog very well and seems comfortable. The dog walks well with it. All in all a good product at a reasonable price.

My dog is doing well with the harness. When he does try to pull it tightens in front and he slows down. The fit is a little tricky as it is big in shoulders, but I made it work,

We ordered our 2nd Harness from 2 Hounds Design as our dog out grew the first one. We have used many different harnesses through the years, but this one is by far the best. Easy on, easy off and it helps control the dog. And it is light weight so it doesn’t confine the dog at all. And the people at 2 Hounds Design are great to deal with. They are very helpful and pleasant. I highly recommend them.

I am absolutely in love. I love the fact that I am not pulling on my dogs neck anymore. Walks are more enjoyable for both of us. I hope to be ordering a custom collar soon. A very easy company to work with and love that they are a local, small business I can support during these hard times!!

The is the best harness I’ve used in the 3 decades I’ve been a dog walker. For strong pullers this is a must-have! We have a a smaller Pitbull/bulldog mix now, about 50 lbs., but she is STRONG. I don’t think I could walk with her without this harness – it’s effective at re-directing attention without choking or otherwise hurting the dog (or me). With our 2 Hounds harnesses, we get to take our daily walks with a lot less stress and a lot more fun. Yay, 2 Hounds!

I have two 65lb American Bull Terriers, and very strong! These are the best for strong dogs and those pups that like to escape their harnesses. I highly recommend, and these are the only harnesses I’ll ever use on my fur babies!!

Bought other harnesses before this one and wish I had known to buy this one first. My 7 month old puppy and I are both happier walking with this harness. The only negative is that I will have to buy another one as he grows because the harness is not adjustable enough for him to wear at full size but the large would have been too large for the age/size he is currently. Just wish I didn’t have to spend the money on a second one but would highly recommend them.

I have to say, this is by far the favorite harness we’ve used for our pit bull terrier, Gimli, so far. Before we used a PetSafe Easy Walk harness which I definitely liked, but we had to loop the weaving that went under his belly with a sock because it would tear up his skin otherwise. The new velvet-lined chest strap has completely solved that issue and he hasn’t experienced any chafing with the new harness. I also love the two-connection option with the training leash. Gimli is about 70lbs and is a ball of energy so it can be really tough to walk him but, with this set-up, even my wife can walk him, no problem!

We use these harnesses for shelter dogs, so I was already familiar with how awesome they are. But when I was looking for a good harness for my dachshund, I needed something that he couldn’t back out of and, more importantly, wouldn’t put pressure on his throat. I tried a lot of the harnesses recommended for doxies, but they would only solve one of the two issues, not both.

It didn’t occur to me until recently to try out the Freedom harness. And I’m so glad I did! When properly adjusted, the front of this harness stays across his breastbone, not on his throat. And the martingale piece on the back keeps him from escaping the harness. Also helps with his pulling, and dachshunds love to pull!

When my now-four-year-old goldendoodle took her first training class as a puppy the trainer recommended using this specific harness with the leash attached on the front to encourage good walking skills. Attaching the leash to the front loop means that when the dog pulls, she will naturally be turned to face back towards the leash holder, instead of needing to be manually pulled backwards toward the leash holder without that eye contact. It has made ALL the difference in creating a well-behaved, confident walker. We’re now on our third of these harnesses as our pup has grown into an adult, and we cannot recommend them more.

I have been using the no-pull harnesses with Snickers and Dawn since 2015. I does tend to reduce their pulling, but even more important it takes the stress off their necks in the inevitable situation when, all of a sudden, the three of us do not agree on which direction we are walking. I foster dogs for As Good As Gold. I bought a nice red one for my new foster. He showed immediate improvement in attentiveness during our walks and reduction in pulling.

I’ve had three dogs. All pulled horribly before we got this harness for each of them. From my 120lb king shepherd to my 45lb lab puppy, this is the only harness we’ll buy now. Doesn’t hurt them and stops the pulling immediately.

    Great quality and design !!

I highly recommend especially with the leash. They are the perfect combination.

I bought 2 sets because the colors are great and couldn’t decide which one liked better.

I have tried many well named and this is the best.

I have a male lab who is a strong puller and this gives me control.

Thank You 2Houndsdesign for making our walks a pleasure !!

This harness is truly a great design and works incredibly well! I’ve used it to train my now 60 lb., standard poodle, my 60 lb., whoodle and now my 10 lb., wire haired fox terrier who is so strong that when using a regular leash is able to pull me in my wheelchair. When using this no-pull harness and leash system she immediately stopped and made our walking her outside much more pleasant! Thank you 2houndsdesign for such a great product!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our dog trainer recommended this harness and leash system. It is THE BEST design on the US market. It allows your dog to have full range of motion while walking or running. The two fastener design provides wonderful control for a boisterous large puppy. This is our second purchase, as our Newfoundland puppy just grew out of his medium size harness. I highly recommend this product. Also, my order arrived very quickly with nice instructions and packaging.

    Best Ever Harness!

When we first got a freedom harness nearly a decade ago, we fell in love with the design. How easy it was to size, how easy it was to put on and remove, and how responsive our dog was. Since then, we’ve had five other dogs – some of them had been strong pullers when walked with a leash attached to a collar, but not at all with the harness. Several people have stopped us while on walks, asking where we got the harness – I’m VERY happy to refer them, because I love it so much!
