Reflective Black Freedom No-Pull Dog Harness

SKU: zhnreflectiveblack

Regular Price From $33.00

No force, no pain.  Just an enjoyable walk with your dog!

Clear

The Freedom No-Pull Harness features a patented control loop on the back of the harness which tightens gently around your dog’s chest to discourage pulling behavior and makes walking your dog an easy, more enjoyable experience for both of you.  It also features a structural connection ring on the front of the harness.  Connecting to this ring is optional, but recommended, as it allows you to attach to the front and back of the harness simultaneously.  Used this way, you are able to control pulling and redirect your dog’s attention back to you for training and treats.

The Freedom No-Pull Harness features a Swiss velvet-lined chest strap to help prevent rubbing and chafing behind the front legs.  The stainless steel hardware used on the harness will never rust or corrode, and the nylon webbing has been tested to pull up to 3800 lbs.  It will not break or fray, no matter how hard your dog pulls.

The Freedom No-Pull Harness is designed to fit any dog from 14 lbs all the way up to 250+ lbs.

Sizing

It comes in two widths:

5/8” for smaller dogs under 40 lbs – Dachshunds, Italian Greyhounds, Whippets, Jack Russel Terriers, Beagles, Miniature Schnauzers, etc.

1” for larger dogs over 40 lbs – Boxers, Labrador Retrievers, Golden Retrievers, Greyhounds, German Shepherds, Basset Hounds, Pit Bulls, Great Danes, etc.

To measure your dog for the harness, use a soft measuring tape (or a piece of string) and measure all the way around the largest part of your dog’s chest.  Choose the SMALLEST size that fits within that measurement.

Multiple Leash Attachment Options!

Training Leash

The training leash is designed to be used in conjunction with the Freedom No-Pull Harness. It provides additional control points, which evenly distributes pressure.  It has a permanently attached “floating” handle, allowing the leash to be used in multiple configurations:

  • Connect to the front and the back of the harness simultaneously.
  • Connect to just the front or the back of the harness.
  • Connect to the harness and a collar at the same time.

When connected to two points the training leash is 3′ long including the floating handle, and 4′ long when attached to a single point.  As the name suggests, this shorter leash is especially useful for training.

Euro Leash

The Euro leash is just like the training leash but is 6′ long when connected to both attachments, and 8′ long when connected to a single point.  The handle is removable and can be used separately. The Euro leash can be used in the following configurations:

  • 8″ Traffic handle all by itself.
  • Fold leash in half. Clip one end of leash to your dog’s collar or harness and the other end to the stationary ring. Clip the Traffic Handle to the floating ring. This makes a 4′ lead.
  • To create a 2 foot leash, continue from step two, slide the floating O-ring towards you and reconnect it to the bolt snap that is connected to your dog’s collar.
  • Place lead around shoulder/back and clip (1) end to floating ring and other end to dog. This makes a hands-free lead.
  • Place lead around waist and clip (1) end to floating ring and other end to dog. This makes a hands-free lead.
  • To keep your dog close and safe while sitting stationary with him/her, simply attach leash to your dog and wrap the handle end of leash around a pole, fence post, railing or small tree and attach both snaps in the handle to the floating o-ring. (use this method only while remaining with your dog)

Nylon Leash

The nylon leash is a standard 4′ or 6′ leash with one connection and an adjustable handle.

Proudly made in the USA!

We stumbled upon this harness with our foster dog. Omer immediately purchased one for our Australian Shepherd/Blue Heeler mix who is a major puller on walks and it has been AMAZING. She still pulls, but it’s not nearly as bad and she’s more aware of her pulling and what will happen from the harness if she does. We LOVE this harness.

Nothing Special, Surprised How Thin It Is

    Andy (verified owner)

It’s nice. The no-pull isn’t completely no-pull, though. However, it is helpful having control on the front and back. Basically, if he catches a smell he wants to track, he’ll lower himself to the ground, get a good stance, and stick there, or pull in that direction, so I’ll end up grabbing one of the ends of the leash (front or back) to regain control.

The previous harness we had was thicker, and the leash we used was double-stitched, so I was a little skeptical when the harness we got was half as thick, and the leash felt like a strong ribbon compared to the previous one. I’m not bashing it. It was just significantly thinner, which surprised me because this little guy’s a strong puller, and I didn’t think it would hold (yet it seemed to).

Size: We have what I’d consider a small to medium sized dog. His chest measurements are 22″, so we got the small size. But even after adjusting it to the smallest it can go, it was still pretty loose on him. So if we were to get another one, we’d have to go with the XS (but it’s $33, so that probably won’t happen).

Would we get one again? Probably not, because:
    1) I had difficulty trusting its strength with his
    2) He kept wanting to bite the leash when we took him out. With it being as thin as it is, I’m afraid he won’t have any problems doing so (which is why our original leash was double-stitched).
    3) It costs $33, we’ve only had it 2 weeks, and he’s already chewed through one of the straps on the harness (we left it on him today between walks, and he chewed through it easily).

Hi Andy, thanks so much for your feedback! We would love to talk more about the “thin” note, did you previously have a 1″ wide harness? You mentioned you have a small now, so that would be 5/8″ wide. We do that so it fits better on the body, but I assure you the webbing and hardware is plenty strong to hold your dog. As for chewing, that can definitely happen, but we do have a chewing warranty. Contact us at 704-234-0228 and we are happy to help you take care of any chewing. Thanks so much!

I bought reflective harness and euro leash great for major pullIng lovable dog. (especially during bunny hour) I feel in control and safe no collar slip. If I know we are coming across bunnies I attack leash to front clip and his collar. If we are relaxed walking I hook to back clip and front clip. Sorry no photo, I am not that coordinated. 🤣

I like the harness but it’s a too large for my pup. I followed the measurements but it’s very loose in the front. I wish they had a better exchange/return policy as I would love to try a smaller size. Next time I will order from amazon for free exchanges and returns to ensure I have a harness that will fit properly.

Loving this harness so far! Slightly difficult to adjust ( but aren’t they all?) but great fabric and looks good on my dog. I love the multiple connection system for training. It’s hot here so we’ve only been able to take the pup on short walks to protect his paws, but it does seem to make a difference. Very happy so far.

It’s so nice to find a harness that you can adjust all points to fit your dog perfectly! This is the 3rd harness I have purchased through this company. They are all perfect. I love that the straps behind my dogs legs has a softer material so it doesnt dig and rub on their skin!

    Best Harness

This harness was recommended for our rescue pup by our trainer. It is awesome. The design is incredible for teaching your pup not to pull. It can be used for that, and can be clipped 3 different ways- the 2 point for training not to pull, both hooks on the back clip for a shorter leash and once your dog is no longer pulling, you can hook one hook on the back, and your dog can enjoy a longer leash. It is designed to be able to switch to any of these methods in a quick second. It will not disappoint!
Your dog will not slip out of this. It also is not bulky, which seems to be comfortable on our dog. Would highly recommend this harness for any dog, or puppy!

Great product! High quality and well made. Easy to fit and provides options to adjust from chest straps as well as girth. The soft, more comfortable velvet on the girth is nice too.

My largish Schnoodle has a habit of chewing through the front of other harnesses. I have bought too many to remember. This harness fits so that he cannot get the front piece in his mouth. I have used this on another dog and so happy to have one for this guy!

Finally! My pup is 22 months old, 90 lbs. and very fun to be with. Only problem is he hasn’t figured out that I am on the other end of his leash. This makes for a power walk for me whether I like it or not. LOL. Love my german shepherd dog and as powerful as he is with his strength, this harness is a life saver. I hook a leash to the front loop near his chest and also a leash on the loop closest to his backbone. It has only been 5 days and already the walking is much more enjoyable. I have tried many collars, leashes, harnesses and all a waste of money, until this harness. Finally! My pup and I can take longer walks. The trick is in giving a slight tug to the leash attached near his chest which definitely gets his attention. Well worth the money. And the shipping was fast! Great customer service, great product. Highly recommend.

This is a well made harness. The problem is that is is put together backwards. To get the loop on the top in the correct position, the loop for the chest is then turned in towards the skin. In order for our dog to wear it, he has to wear it twisted. I have had this for a month and have not been able to get this on him correctly.

My standard poodle, Luna, loves her new harness! It fits her deep chest better than any other harness we’ve tried (and we’ve tried a lot!). I love the tightening feature when clipped to the back. She is way more secure and I feel totally confident in knowing she won’t slip out or pull too hard.

This is a great harness, but didn’t quite fit my pup all the way. I ordered the 1” Medium, based on the sizing recommendations (Yes I measured her beforehand, 3 times) and it fits everywhere except her chest. When I clip her leash to the front clip, it pulls around and bulges out because it’s WAY too big (big by a good couple inches) in the chest, even when both sides are adjusted as small as they can go. I can’t order the ⅝” because she’s 40lbs and I’m positive she’s strong enough to snap/chew through the thinner harness. I think I can alter it to fit her, but it won’t be easy with the thick fabric. Once it’s corrected it will be fabulous! I was able to do a quick fix for our walk but it’ll be amazing when it is altered.

I recently ordered my second no-pull harness and matching training leash. The first one was 3 years ago for my first Newfoundland, the new one is for my 2nd Newfie. My first one was ordered a bit smaller, and eventually my Newf chewed a small rip in it. I never replaced it, which was fine. This new one, ordered in the XL size has a substantial feel to it, the leash does too. I believe it’s because I ordered larger this time. I love the reflective materials for evening/night time walks.
My new pup hates putting on a harness but doesn’t have a problem with this one. Easy on, easy off. My pup is only 5 months old so I ordered this a little big so that he will grow into it. With the multiple ways to adjust the size on this harness I know there won’t be any problems for this harness to keep up with my boy.
Thus far absolutely love this set up. Newfies are notorious tuggers, I attach the front and back loop with the training leash and he doesn’t tug at all. Which in turn has helped immensely for the times I only attach the back. If he starts to tug it pulls him just enough that he stops immediately.
To sum up, I won’t hesitate to purchase another harness if I get another pup. I always give each dog their own harness, collar and leash. These work great and perfectly pleased with the look and performance of these products.

My dog and I love the freedom no-pull harness! I was recommended this harness by my dog trainer. We’ve had the harness for about a week now and her pulling has pretty much stopped. It is really easy to lead my dog and the leash handle doesn’t hurt my hand when my dog does pull. Also, I’m so happy that they have the reflective option since I have an all black dog and it can be difficult to see her in the dark. It takes a little bit of finessing to get used to the double connection.

I’ve tried them all…. including those terrible metal pronged collar and my dog still pulled constantly. I stopped walking my dog because I wasn’t sure that I would get pulled down and it just wasn’t enjoyable. This harness, combined with the double leash really works! No more pulling, actual slack in the leash as we walk. I’m smiling and I know that my dog is happier and even healthier. Thank you so much!

Our beagle had escaped from his previous harness from another company by backing out of it. It was terrifying. We absolutely love this harness! It is very comfortable for our dog and does not dig in anywhere. We feel confident that he will not be able to back out of this one due to the design. Thank you!!
